Coorong Fishing

Visit our website http://www.fishingrodcovers.com.au
The Coorong , South Australia, from Beacon 19  to the Murray Mouth and from Tauwitchery Barrage to the mouth is mainly fresh water due to the amount of water being released. The flow of water released, is quite strong, creating very strong currents going out through the mouth. The edges of the beach at the Murray Mouth are constantly being eaten by the strong current.

As for fishing.....waste of time right now.

Goolwa Cockles are found to have unsafe E.COLI levels. Goolwa Beach has been closed to recreational fishing for cockles for the next two weeks.
Waitpinga Beach is very productive for salmon but wees is making it difficult.
Rapid Bay is good for tommies along the jetty. There is plenty of leather jackets around as well.

Coorong, South Australia

Visit our website http://www.fishingrodcovers.com.au

The latest update for the Coorong and Murray Mouth:
Fish has disappeared completely due to the very high flows of fresh water. Fresh water is released through most of the barrages. Fishing is only good to get your line wet and to have a nice day on or near the water.
Take extreme care swimming near the Murray Mouth as strong currents are present.

Hobie Canoe

Went out canoeing on the Port River, Port Adelaide, South Australia. Along the banks of the river near the power lines I got caught up with a pot of dolphins chasing a school of fish.
With high speed chasing the fish it was an amazing sight. This feeding frenzy went on for quite some time.
The experience is just fantastic. We have been often canoeing on the Port River but never been caught up in the middle of a pot dolphins. The dolphins didn't feel disturbed by my canoe. They swam under, next and in front of it. One of the bigger dolphins eyeballed me for a little while as she swam next to me. That could have been a mother as a baby was next to her.

Coorong

Due to high flows of fresh water from the River Murray fish is hard to find. Carp is being flushed out of the river system. Big dead carp is washing onto the Goolwa beach. Seagulls are feasting on them. All this fresh water coming through will create a healthier River Murray.

Fishing Rod Covers with Reel Cover

We are developing fishing rod covers with a reel cover to go with it. The reel cover can be used on its on to store your reel. The rod cover slips over the fishing rod with the reel attached, complete with line. Then the reel cover is put over the reel with two overlapping flaps locking it safely with Velcro. In these photos experimental fabric is used.

with reel cover(which will be padded)

reel cover taken off, line is fitted (no hooks though)

When the reel is not in use the reel cover doubles up as a storage bag.
We are testing the rod & reel cover on the RAC:VAC the car. Testing it with speed up to 110km
This rod cover will be available in one color only

Let us know what you think. Maybe you have suggestions.
