Coorong Fishing

Visit our website http://www.fishingrodcovers.com.au
The Coorong , South Australia, from Beacon 19  to the Murray Mouth and from Tauwitchery Barrage to the mouth is mainly fresh water due to the amount of water being released. The flow of water released, is quite strong, creating very strong currents going out through the mouth. The edges of the beach at the Murray Mouth are constantly being eaten by the strong current.

As for fishing.....waste of time right now.

Waitpinga Beach is very productive for salmon but wees is making it difficult.
Rapid Bay is good for tommies along the jetty. There is plenty of leather jackets around as well.

The latest update for the Coorong and Murray Mouth:
Fish has disappeared completely due to the very high flows of fresh water. Fresh water is released through most of the barrages. Fishing is only good to get your line wet and to have a nice day on or near the water.
Take extreme care swimming near the Murray Mouth as strong currents are present.
